IOP is for individuals who need a greater level of support to maintain substance recovery. IOP can be the first step individuals take towards recovery or can be used as a support for individuals following inpatient substance use treatment. IOP is an ASAM 2.1 level of care and a co-occurring capable program, meaning treating both mental health and substance use concerns.
IOP’s philosophy is to support the whole person through a collaborative approach, using the Bio-Psycho-Social model, the 12-step recovery framework, and other abstinence-based recovery models, which includes:
- A structured group counseling program, 6-8 weeks in duration, meeting three times weekly for a minimum of nine hours per week that focuses on strategies to increase motivation for recovery
- Weekly urine drug screening
- Individual counseling, as needed
- Involvement of family members or significant others to help aid your recovery
- Psychiatric and medical services through CBH or outside referral, if needed
- Case management services, if needed
- Crisis Services available 24/7 at 757-378-5555
