Providing Treatment & Support Recommendations

Scheduling Assessments

When you call to schedule an assessment, our program specialist will collect a variety of important information about your child. Try to provide as much information as you can during the call to ensure your family is matched to a qualified assessor who can best meet your needs.

Assessment Process

Our licensed or license-eligible clinicians will assess your child to determine his/her/their needs. This meeting usually involves gathering treatment and family history, and identifying target areas for treatment and support needs. Once complete, we will make suggestions and recommendations for treatment such as outpatient counseling, case management, and other support services.

Specialized Assessments

Specialized assessments offer a formal way to measure traits, feelings, beliefs and abilities that may contribute to an individual’s current difficulties. Assessments inform treatment services and help clarify presenting concerns. Specialized assessments include:

  • Mental Health: mood, behavioral, developmental, attention/concentration
  • Substance Use: screening and treatment recommendations
  • Trauma: impact of abuse, bullying, aftermath of an event or loss
  • Court-ordered: mental health evaluation
  • Intelligence and adaptive functioning
